Manuel Liñán was born in Granada, Spain, in 1980, and began his dance training with maestros such as Manolete and Mario Maya. Already having performed in festivals and tablaos, he moved to Madrid at age 17 and began dancing in festivals and theater productions across Andalucía, while continuing his training with accomplished dancers, including La China and Manuel Reyes. The following year his career exploded, as he performed with three major companies. He worked with la Compañía Carmen Cortés in the production “Salomé”. He performed as a soloist in the Bienal de Sevilla, one of the most important flamenco festivals in Spain, and he was a finalist in the festival´s flamenco competition that year. Also in 1998, he performed with la Compañía Adrián Galia in Festival Flamenco Mont de Marsan in France.
